Whether you are a Marvel fan or not, there is no doubt that you know who Iron Man is. The billionaire, bad boy, scientist turned superhero is everyone’s favorite. We love him from the comics, and we love Robert Downey Jr’s portrayal of him in the MCU movies.
Although Marvel fans are well aware of what makes Iron Man one of our favorite superheroes, others wonder whether Iron Man has any superpowers, or is he merely a man clad in iron?
The answer is yes; not just one Iron man has many superpowers that make him a praise-worthy hero in the Marvel Universe. Trust us when you find out his superpowers, you will fall in love with him.
Some of the many superpowers Iron Man has:
He can freeze you on the spot:
Quite literally, Iron man can freeze you on the spot. He can produce a beam of ultra freon, which when sprayed on someone, can freeze them right on the spot.
He can change suits and weapons according to his needs:
Iron Man is somewhat of a scientist himself (meme intended), and his suit is a product of his intelligence. The suit works according to his thoughts via reading his brain waves. He thinks, and his artificial intelligence Jarvis understands those thoughts and alters the suit according to what Tony wants. This feature gives him a giant advantage in terms of suit upgrading.
He plans out the future:
Due to his intelligent brain, Iron Man can plan way ahead in the future. This characteristic also allows him to (sometimes) be able to predict the future. For example, in Endgame, Tony tells Captain that he knew there were imminent threats in the universe, and Earth needed a shield around itself to keep those threats out, referring to what he suggested in Age of Ultron, way before Thanos made an appearance.
He recharges his suit from external sources:
Iron Man’s suit can absorb incoming surges of power and then use them according to his liking. He takes energy from incoming attacks like explosions and uses it against his enemies. We see an example of this when Thor fights Iron Man in the Avengers and again in Endgame when Iron Man absorbs Thor’s lightning and aims it on Thanos in their final battle.
His suit is always with him:
Similar to how Iron Man controls his suits with his thoughts, he can also store his suit inside his body. The suit is entwined completely with his mind and body; using nanotechnology. Stark made the suit mesh completely into his bones and mind.
As a result, he gets an immense advantage over his enemies, as they consider him to be an ordinary guy, but little do they know his suit is embedded inside him!
This feature is a huge upgrade for Iron Man; as we see in Iron Man 2, he carries the suit around in a suitcase, and then several films later in Infinity War, he merely presses his arc reactor, and the suit appears on him out of nowhere.
